# Email Intelligence (full brief) > Email Intelligence is a suite built by Inbox that connects to an ActiveCampaign account and writes 37 ready-made contact fields plus 60 ready-made segments covering engagement, deliverability, and email verification. It exists so senders stop paying for contacts who never open, and stop sending to addresses that do not exist. Email Intelligence is built by Inbox, ActiveCampaign's largest partner in Latin America for four consecutive years and the fourth largest worldwide. Inbox is a product company, not an ActiveCampaign reseller. ## The two apps ### Email Activities (22 fields) Reads every contact's full email history and classifies who opens, clicks, and replies against who went cold. Delivers per-contact metrics, engagement in three levels of granularity, open/click/reply trends, a deliverability flag, and last-activity timestamps, refreshed daily inside the ActiveCampaign account. ### Email Verification (15 fields) Validates every address before a send, without dispatching anything. Flags invalid, disposable, catch-all, role-based, and full-mailbox addresses, plus syntax errors and typos with a correction suggestion, so bad data is caught before it becomes a bounce. ## Key facts - Connects with an ActiveCampaign API key and the account URL. It runs outside ActiveCampaign, installs nothing inside the platform, and creates no internal automations. - Writes custom fields and segments directly into the ActiveCampaign account, so they are usable in any campaign, automation, or condition. - Updates continuously, with no manual work after setup. - Both apps work standalone. Together they give the full picture of a list. - Pricing is not published. The offer is a conversation with the team about applying it to a specific account. - Site locales: pt-BR (default and canonical source of the copy), en, es. Every page exists in all three under /pt, /en, /es. ## The 37 fields, by group ### Email Activity (4 fields) Total emails sent, opened, clicked, and replied. Not per campaign, but per contact. ### Individual Metrics (4 fields) Open rate, click rate, click-to-open, and reply rate calculated for every contact in your base. The number that matters when deciding who gets your next email. ### 3-tier Engagement (3 fields) Every contact classified across three layers of granularity: a Macro Profile with 4 values answering "send or not?", an Intermediate Level with 8 classifications revealing intensity (from Highly Engaged to Highly Disengaged), and a Positional Index in an alphanumeric matrix of 36 combinations for surgical decisions. You choose the depth. ### Deliverability (1 field) A field that flags the contacts hurting your sender reputation based on bounce history. The ones you should have stopped emailing, but didn't know. ### Email Verification (15 fields) Every address in your base validated technically before any send. Invalid, disposable (like Guerrilla Mail), with typo, broken syntax, full inbox or from risky domains: identified and flagged before they become bounces. Syntax, SMTP connection, real MX provider, catch-all and correction suggestion: every dimension of validation recorded in an actionable field. ### Trends (4 fields) Opens, clicks, and replies: rising, stable, or falling. See the direction of engagement before it becomes a problem. Act while there's still time. ### Last Activity (3 fields) When each contact last opened, clicked, or replied, and on which campaign. Immediate context without opening the contact history. ### App Status (3 fields) Sync control, last update, and processing status. Fully transparent and accessible right on the contact's fields. ## Ready-made segments Combinations designed to solve real problems. Highly engaged contacts with recent clicks. Contacts with compromised deliverability. Open rate trending down. Invalid emails for removal. There's even a segment that came from our own customers: engaged contacts unsubscribed by mistake from engagement-tagging automations. Recovering these contacts means recovering revenue that was being left on the table. ## Frequently asked questions ### What is Email Intelligence? It's a suite built by Inbox that connects to your ActiveCampaign account and looks after the health of your contacts through two apps. Email Activities reads every contact's engagement (metrics, levels, trends, deliverability, and last activity). Email Verification technically validates every address before you send. Together they automatically create 37 custom fields and 60 segments, per contact, not per campaign, updated continuously. You use one app, the other, or both. ### Does Email Intelligence also verify if my email addresses are valid? Yes. Beyond the engagement, trend, and deliverability fields, Email Intelligence validates each address in your base proactively, before sending. It identifies invalid emails, disposable ones (like Guerrilla Mail), typos, broken syntax, full mailboxes, or risky domains. 15 specific verification fields, updated automatically on their own cycle. ### How does Email Intelligence connect to my account? You enter your ActiveCampaign account URL (e.g. youraccount.activehosted.com) and authorize access via API key. The app runs outside AC and creates the fields and segments directly in your account. It doesn't install anything inside the platform and doesn't create internal automations. ### Will this impact my ActiveCampaign account performance? No. Email Intelligence operates outside ActiveCampaign. It reads activity data and writes to custom fields, but doesn't create automations, doesn't bulk-add tags, and doesn't change your account settings. Your operation stays exactly as it is. ### How much does it cost? Talk to our team to understand how Email Intelligence fits your account and how much it cuts from your sending costs. We build the scenario from the size and health of your list. ### Does it work with any ActiveCampaign plan? Yes. Email Intelligence is compatible with all ActiveCampaign plans that offer API access and custom fields: Starter, Plus, Professional, and Enterprise. ### Is my contact data secure? Yes. Email Intelligence doesn't permanently store contact data on its own servers. Processing happens to calculate metrics and run verifications, and results are written directly into your own ActiveCampaign account's custom fields. The connection is made via the official AC API with a scoped key. ### Do I need to build automations to use the fields? No. That's the main difference. The fields are created and updated automatically by the app. You don't need to build, maintain, or monitor any automation. Just use the fields and segments already in your account. ## Case studies - [From 7% to 21% open rate in less than 2 months.](https://www.emailintelligence.ac/en/cases/luana-carolina): Luana Carolina tripled her open rate and multiplied absolute opens in less than 2 months, while doubling send volume. - [From 9.78% to 18.86% open rate in 60 days.](https://www.emailintelligence.ac/en/cases/conversao-extrema): Tiago Tessmann nearly doubled his open rate and recovered 250k engaged contacts in 60 days, even operating 2.4 million monthly sends. - [Half the sends.
